Day 9 - How you hope your future will be like.
Happy.
Isn't that what everyone wants?
Successful.
Why wouldn't I want to climb the ranks in my profession?
Loved.
Because yeah. We all need it.
True.
How I'll be this entire roller coaster ride known as life.

day eight.
30-Day Blog Challenge
Day 8 - A moment you felt the most satisfied with your life.
Yesterday.
My parents surprised me and came up to visit. Mom had been here once before, the day after I moved. So all she saw was an apartment full of boxes, the building I'd be working in and a brewhouse.
Well, they both came into an almost totally set up apartment. Pictures on walls. Nothing in boxes. Bed with a frame. Beer in the fridge. Working AC. Internet and cable.
We went on a campus tour. They got to see my building and my office.
They were proud of me.
It's taken a while for me to get here, professionally and emotionally. Hearing my parents say how happy they are for me and how proud they are honestly makes my heart soar. I want to do better and do more for them.
They're the reason I'm here. When all else is crumbling, I know I have them to lean on. I am who I am because of my parents. Always teaching me to be true to myself. Be strong. Be me.

day seven.
30-Day Blog Challenge
Day 7 - Your zodiac sign and if you think it fits your personality.
Taurus.
-Enjoys the rewards of the game: YES. Whether it is sports or work related, I like victory and feeling accomplished. Trophies and promotions don't hurt either.
-Comforted by pleasing/soothing things: I like candles. And wine. Does that count?
-Artistic: Duh.
-Go getter: Again, yes. I'm the type of person that when I find something I want, I won't stop until I get it. That's how I got this job. I seem to be that way with men also.
-Practical: At times. I do like being spontaneous. Being impulsive gets the best of me given the situation. Growing up and being on my own has taught me to be more on the practical side.
-Reliable: Very. I don't want to be serenaded by Matt and Allie with the chorus of "Sketchy Friends" so I stick to my guns. When I say I'm down for something, I'm down. No questions asked.
-Life full of beauty: Ok, I like nice things. Who doesn't? I don't spend fortunes on designer purses and shoes. Not knocking you if that's your thing, but it's not mine. I spend money on art. And clothes.
-Sappy: Sadly, yes. I'm a HUGE sap. Books, songs, movies, weddings, babies- you name it. They can all make me cry in the drop of a hat. I think of myself like a piece of candy that has a hard exterior but the inside is soft and juicy. Ick.
-Romantic: Yes and no. Every girl likes a bit of romance. Me? I find it to be cheesy most times. Maybe that's because I'm too independent. Maybe it's because I've never been truly romanced by a man. All I know is that I hate roses and Valentine's Day.
-Slow and steady workpace: More of the "Get it done right now" type. I like to get my work done and then have little left to worry about.
-Short temper: Oh yeah. Ask my family. Or anyone I've ever dated. It's gotten better. MUCH better. Working with moronic adults helped with that.
-Outdoorsy: Sports, walking, tanning- yes. Camping- no.
-Enjoys theaterical arts: Always have. Always will.
-Devoted: What a silly question. Yes, of course.

day five.
30-Day Blog Challenge
Day 5 - A time you thought about ending your own life.
2004.
My grandmother was on a downhill slope with more hospital stays and scares. I knew the end was coming. But she was my best friend.
So yeah, that's all I'm really going to say about it.
Someone came into my life after she passed. He helped more than he will ever know. Back then and now.

day four.
30-Day Blog Challenge
Day 4 - A DIY tutorial or something you'd like to make.
I'm quite the crafty gal. I love to paint. And I'm forever making things for people.
My latest project was painting an old bed frame. Another was taking old utensils and bending them, attaching to a wooden block and making a key rack.
Next on my list- belt holder made from old weathered plywood with hooks drilled in.
I wish I could paint my apartment. The beige walls are quite drab. (Insert wall decals here)

day three.
30-Day Blog Challenge
Day 3 - Your views on drugs and alcohol.
Drugs: I don't like them. They hurt you. They hurt the people you love. And sometimes bring on the worst thing possible.
A specific friend comes to mind when I think about drugs. I was close with them growing up, but the wrong crowd caused that person to turn to drugs. Our whole group grew apart. And recently, they were trying to come off whatever they were on and went missing for several days. That's not a good feeling, I don't care who you are.
Alcohol: I do like it. But if not used responsibly, can bring on the same repercussions as that drugs do.
I'll admit that I've been drinking for several years now. With age, I know the boundaries of drinking. I grew up watching my family members drink but it was always imprinted in my mind that you would be able to when you're of age. It makes me sick to see parents buy their high school students alcohol. You're the parent. Act like it.
